Radicaux Libres
Synopsis
Radicaux Libres is an in-situ media installation, which has occupied several steps of the long stairway in the Grande Bibliothèque du Québec during the Septième Manifestation internationnale de vidéo et art électronique de Montréal in 2006.
There, one finds a continuous flow of projected letters onto the floor of the space, which gradually cluster at the feet of the spectator to form groups of phrases as different and evocative as the next. Here, the reading precedes the writing; provoking the emergence of a dynamic text that constructs itself as much from the physical rules that animate the movement of water, as from those belonging to free association in poetry. One can also associate the flow of reading to wandering within a city, to combine the drift of the walk to the delirium of the imaginary, making visible the literary landscape that intimately forms within the spirit of everyone.
